Article: the new IDEE training course, overseen by Olivier Farges

The ambition to offer companies in the Grand Est region the complementary skills of ENSGSI and ICN has become a reality with the IDEE training program, due to be launched in January 2025. To mark the occasion, we interviewed Olivier Farges, research professor at ENSGSI.
Could you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Olivier Farges, and I've been a teacher-researcher at ENSGSI since 2016, teaching in the mechanical energy division. For the past year and a half, I've also been Director of Industrial Partnerships at the school.
.

The idea behind the creation of the IDEE training program was to offer a range of skills that would not only be specific to ENSGSI or ICN, but also cross-disciplinary to address a number of themes of interest to professionals. The first contacts with ICN for a joint course were made in 2020, with Pascal Lhoste at the head of the project. When he retires in 2023, Olivier Farges will take over his role.
The training is based on three areas: innovation, digitalization and export. Olivier Farges adds, "Naturally, ENSGSI brings more of its expertise in the 'innovation' and 'digital' parts."
What makes our training unique?
The number one advantage is that we've organized the training around three tracks, which are the three themes I mentioned earlier. And each course consists of three modules, plus an optional in-company coaching module. In other words, a real-life situation once you've completed the training. Everything is à la carte, which means that if you have the prerequisites for the first and second modules, you don't have to take them, you can pick and choose as you need.
Another interesting point raised by Olivier Farges concerns the innovation systems management standard in conjunction with ERPI, with Yohann Clerc very much involved in the process of the imminent release of the standard, which he will be training in as part of a module. Those who already have knowledge of the innovation field will be able to keep abreast of any updates to the standard.
How does the learning process work in the various modules?
It's a bit of a mixed bag, depending on what the trainer wants to get across. Once you've had the training, if you want to develop skills internally, you may find yourself with a particular case within a company. The person who has followed the training will also want to be guided to complete the training, so we have this possibility of doing this coaching à la carte according to needs, it can be one hour, one day, three times a day etc... We're really open.
Each training module lasts between two and three days, consecutively or not, with a speaker. The ENSGSI experts are Yohann Clerc, Vincent Boly, Raphaël Bary and Davy Monticolo.

IDEE is a professional training program designed for people who are either already in work, looking to set up their own business, or looking for a job, and who will be prepared for the challenges they may encounter in the marketplace, thanks to a comprehensive approach and practical implementation. With the support of the Banque des Territoires for the first two years of the training program, the price is reduced to 250€ per day.
Do you have any final words? Any message or advice for the training's target audience?
Don't hesitate to come and have a look at the training content, to see if there are modules that are more interesting for your company's needs. For example, if you want to start exporting, you'll find interesting guides and mistakes to avoid. As far as innovation and design are concerned, there are also updates on what some of our alumni might have encountered during their training at the school. It's also an opportunity to reactivate certain skills, or to have employees who may not be sufficiently trained, and to send them off for further training.
We wish the organizers of IDEE a successful launch and invite you to follow the link below to find out more!
